The STAR OF DAVID (Zvezda Davida) Radio Magazine is one hour radio program presented weekly as an educational and cultural outreach service to approximately 35,000 Russian speaking listeners of Baltimore and Washington DC areas WBGR 1590 AM on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm and on Internet , site radiostardavid.com at any time.

The Star of David began broadcasting in May 1991 as a half-hour program that provided information on Jewish communal life to new Americans, helping with their acculturation and integration. Due to the overwhelming response and demand for more programming, the broadcast was expanded to full hour broadcast since July 1992, after receiving a grant from the Jacob and Hilda Blaustein foundation.

In June 1993 STAR OF DAVID was selected by Governor William Donald Schaefer of Maryland as recipient of GOVERNERS MEDAL OF DISTINCTION. This medal is awarded to individuals who initiated a program to benefit other citizens of State of Maryland.

Written and hosted by Mrs. Anna Toporovsky and other members of team, the radio magazine is directed by Mr. Albert Plaks, Ph.D. The main topics of the radio magazine STAR OF DAVID are: news from Jewish world, Jewish music and songs, politic aspects of Israel and Russia, Jewish history, religion, art, literature, poetry, medicine, science, American history, current life and culture, low.
